Revenues & BenefitsThe team also provide a front facing benefits assessment service at our one stop shops in the Barking Learning Centre and Dagenham Library and One Stop Shop. New claims and changes of circumstances potentially can be dealt with and assessed as part of a same day service if all the information required is available.

The team also delivers a recovery and enforcement function on behalf of LBBD to recover payments owed to the Council.  This can include County Court proceedings and bailiffs.  Our priority is to maximise income collection for the Council whilst being firm and fair to those who may need additional support because of illness or vulnerability.
