A huge consideration for Elevate has been to improve customer services but at the same time to create significant savings or increase income collection for the Council. This supports the Council’s commitment to freeze Council Tax over five years.
- achieved the highest Council Tax collection rate in eleven years with a streamlined delivery team - moving from 44 staff to 14 staff under Elevate
- secured £22M of compound baseline savings on all Elevate services for the remaining life of the contract
- ensured further cost avoidance for the Council through careful procurement and management of third party contracts
All of this is crucial in supporting the Council’s financial position and capacity to invest in front-line services.
